About Tjernlund Products
The inception of Tjernlund Products dates back to 1938 and since then, the company has evolved into one of the biggest providers of gas fired furnaces and custom packaged roof top heating & cooling equipment. The portfolio is rich with many landmark products. During the mid-50s, Auto Draft Inducers were developed to eliminate draft problems associated with short stacks on roof top units.
Other people within the heating industry soon saw the advantages of Tjernlund draft inducers and wholesale distribution of the Auto Draft Inducers began in 1957. Tjernlund Products was established as a separate company in 1973. The original manufacturing facility had 12 employees but today, the facility has expanded to 75,000 ft2 and Tjernlund has grown to over 50 employees.
The engineering and manufacturing departments feature the latest technology in 3D CAD design and CNC turret presses and brakes. Tjernlund Products is still largely, family owned and managed.
Product Description
GPAK1 gas vent packages combine a HS1 Power Venter, VH1-4 Vent Hood and 4" Barometric Draft Control to make it easier for the wholesaler to inventory and the contractor to order. GPAK Series Power Venter's include a factory prewired Fan Proving Switch and UC1 Control with pre and post purge to purge the vent system of residual flue gases after burner cycle has completed. ETL Certification and package concept make the GPAK a popular Side Wall Venting solution.
